Thanks to my faithful visiting teacher I scored some ready-made Halloween costumes. I was moaning that Kade wanted to be a skeleton and Zach wanted to be a vampire, both of which would require creativity (gasp!) and maybe a sewing machine (gasp!) on my part. My visiting teacher said, "Oh, I have a skeleton costume, what size?" and "I have a Vampire cape you can use, I'll bring them over." She is apparently very creative and regularly uses her sewing machine (gasp!) and makes costumes for her entire family every Halloween. She brought over all 4 of her skeleton costumes and all 4 of her vampire capes. This is us modeling the skeleton costumes- we went outside and played skeleton soccer in the front yard to spook out our neighbors.

When Kade tried on the vampire cape, he decided he had to be Dracula so this is how he went to school on Friday.

And these are my 4 vampires Trick or Treating. Notice Sam's tiny little cape, how cute is that! But no fangs for baby, on account of I'm a nursing mother. Sorry Jennie, I know you don't like creepy stuff, but Kade and Kyle were pretty excited about all the fangs and fake blood and stuff. Sam and Zach weren't as excited but Zach did let us spray his hair black and Sam did let us put his cape on- so everyone was as brave as they could be.

This is the whole fam spookin' it up at the neighborhood Trunk or Treat. (Note: Photo taken by my costume making visiting teacher- bless her again!) I was a witch which is my standard Halloween costume- Kade asked, "Mom are you always going to wear that witch hat on Halloween?" I had planned to, but after a night of wandering in this windy city trying to hold on to my hat and hold on to my kids I think I may need to hang up my broom and retire my hat, or on second thought maybe I'll hang onto it in case we move again before next Halloween. Happy Halloween!

You guys looked so awesome! I need a great visiting teacher, just like you have.
P.S. You have Haflingers? I knew I liked you for more reasons than one!
Move North, move North, it's not nearly as windy and we have great Halloween parties too. We are dying to get our hands on baby Sam. The pictures are great. Thanks for sharing.
Love you guys,
Sarah
Jodi Congrats on Sam! He is a handsome little man and I loved the cape! You happen to look fabulous too. If you're ever down our way we should get cupcakes or any kind of girls time off treat-preferably chocolate though :)
