There are some things we really like about this small town we live in. The thing we like best are the people- we know the nicest people here, and we love bumping into people we know wherever we go. There are things I don't love about this town, but I'll save them for future blog-griping (a sneak peek: roaming dogs, 9 months of snow, no shopping, no fun venues to take small children, low wages, expensive homes, etc.)
I've gotten distracted, back to what I wanted to share... On Sunday a High Council Member was speaking in Sacrament meeting, he is nameless and faceless because I was in the mother's lounge just listening in. As he was giving his talk he said, "Well, there are a lot of ways to skin a cat..." And I was no longer able to concentrate because how many ways are there to skin a cat? When would a person ever need to skin a cat? Have you ever seen a skinned cat? Would YOU ever skin a cat!? Yikes! Yuck! Bless this town that I live in.

my mom used to use that expression alot...hence she was born in Cedar City! I have to say though that I've learned there are MANY ways to skin a cat (metiphorically speaking)!
I agree with Jo. Who wants to skin a cat?!
Oh, and FINALLY I found your blog. Or, finally I know that you have one. Here I was lecturing you about never commenting, and I never even visited! Sorry! Ha! Love you lots.
This is a sad confession on my part, but I actually *have* skinned a cat--we did it as part of a high school zoology class. And, it was pretty distasteful (especially since my partner was so grossed out that she kept dropping her end of the cat . . .). Needless to say, I only know one way to skin a cat . . .
