Playing House

Our neighbor Lainey likes to hang out at our house. It's different having girl play time, she and Kade have taken over the basement with all their gear for playing house. They've even rigged up a swing for the "baby". Yesterday I was downstairs and heard them talking. Lainey was distracted looking at our aquarium and Kade was trying to get her to rejoin the play. Their conversation went like this.
Kade: "Come on, the baby's crying!"
Lainey: "Can you get her, please?"
Kade: "It's YOUR baby."
Lainey: "I HAD the baby, but you have to help me take care of it!"

Okay, I don't know how many times I've heard that exact same conversation, just never from a 5 yr old and an 8 yr old. I guess no matter what age, men are men and women are women. So funny!

Cute story...when Ethan played with his girl "friend" in Iowa, he was always the pirate and she was the princess locked in a castle. Cute blog!
