Follow Up

Thanks to those of you who have asked… Our friend Henry has gone from 1% kidney function to 300%. His dad’s a tall guy, it was a big ol’ kidney and it’s working well.  His dad was feeling lousy, but is feeling better and is able to get around a bit, and I understand he’s using his down time to study for his MCAT. Little Henry’s on the 4th floor at Primary Children's, his mom’s cousin is getting chemo on the third floor, and his cousin (Jaci’s little Cora) was lifeflighted yesterday and she’s now on the 2nd floor.  Jaci said all the parents met together for lunch today on the 1st floor and it did them all good.

A little follow up for our family.   Remember our little incident with the Carbon Monoxide Detector? Funny story, that… So we (Kyle) went to Home Depot to get a new one. He came home with one that kept chirping when plugged in. What does that mean? No, idea. It offered no other insight. So, we (Kyle) took it back to HD to get one that gives a digital carbon monoxide reading on it. We plugged it in and it looked like this:

So... we (I) got a pregnancy test (not at Home Depot- but not a bad idea.  They should also have anniversary cards and flowers, don’t you think. Hmmm, maybe birth control, too!). Anyway, it looked like this:

That would explain the nausea! After the initial shock...

we are adjusting to this BIG surprise. I am now 12 weeks along, our baby looks like this:

And, I look like this:
And we are expecting a new arrival to our family on August 7.

Yeah, nausea is never fun. Ugh.

I am glad no one in your house is going to die of carbon monoxide poisoning.
