Room in the Inn

Kade's given it some thought and informed me this morning that he doesn't think Santa is real. This didn't really surprise me cuz he's the skeptic type. What did surprise me was HIS explanation of the Christmas morning bounty. He said, "I think what really happens is sparkles come down and magic fills the room and then there are presents under the tree."

Zach has his own ideas too. I was talking to the boys about the upcoming annual family nativity where all the grandkids dress up and act out their part. He informed me, "I'm gonna be Hulk." I showed him our little nativity set and tried to help him understand better about Christ's birth and the role each person played. He thought about it and said, "Oh, I'll be a shepherd. No, I'll be Hulk." Hmm, I guess there's room for everyone in the inn.
