Well Rounded Education
In the car the other day Kade said to me, "Mom, do you know The Doors?" Um, yeah. "They're a band", he informed me in case I didn't really know. I assured him I knew who The Doors were, but since HE'S FOUR!!! I was most interested in how he knew who they were. The one word answer I expected, "Dad." He then sang from People are Strange, "...faces look ugly when you're alone." I then remembered a smaller Kade as a toddler sitting in his car seat singing, "You gotta fight for your right to parrrrrrrty!" I guess that's why kids should have 2 parents- to have a nice well-rounded education (art, reading, science, religion, sports, The Doors, Beastie Boys, etc.) Don't worry we've got it all covered.

You aren't alone! Matty's musical education has been greatly supplemented by his daddy also. He knows most the words to "I'm a Freak" thanks to the Rockband game Phil plays (don't worry Phil edits the swear word with "What the 'smell' am I doing here?")Matty has also learned the drum part and can play along. boom-boom-chunk...
