The Name Game
My Kyle has a special memory block for names. He does have an exceptional gift for thinking up the closest possible wrong name, which can be a lot of fun. Like the guy running for president, what's his name? Obama Bin Laden. Sometimes we have to use non-name descriptions so we both know who we're talking about- like "Cranium" (the neighbor with the big head), or "Bluetooth" (the guy that wore his all through church every week), "the Lawyer", etc. We're glad for titles like "the Bishop" that make things easier, but if he has to know "the Bishop's" name, I make Kyle ask Kade- "It's Bishop Pickett, Dad." A favorite was when our friends Phil and Kristy had a new baby and Kyle could only remember that her name was kind of like mine- these are the moments I wait for, when he comes up with his perfect-wrong-name best guess. His guess for the new baby- JODIFER. The baby's name- JOSIE. Another favorite was when we went to Cafe Rio and he was ordering up and told the guy he wanted "Cinco de Mayo". Kyle's a patient guy, so when the worker looked confused he said it again slowly and carefully "Cin-co De Ma-yo". Hee! Hee! What words sound more like Pico de Gallo?!

That would be so funny if I didn't feel his pain. I SUCK at names! (Although... I think I would have been able to get pico de gallo).
Jodi-
We are blog stalking. Aaron laughed and laughed at that. We love Kyle.
